The Fashion Showcase at Salon du Chocolat NYC will transport you to a world where Fairytales and Folklore Meet Futuristic Fantasy. This enchanting area will display a stunning collection of chocolate dresses, each one crafted by talented designers and chocolatiers who blend mythical inspiration with visionary flair. Showcased on mannequins for the entire 3-day event, these intricate designs come to life under beautiful signage and lighting, creating a perfect photo op for every attendee. With multiple dresses that capture the magic of storytelling through edible fashion, this showcase promises to be an unforgettable highlight of the show. ​We’re inviting you to interpret our 2024 theme, “Fairytales and Folklore Meet Futuristic Fantasy,” in your own personal style. Whether you’re drawing inspiration from mythical creatures, enchanted forests, or sci-fi futurescapes, we want to see how you can bring this theme to life with innovative textures, bold silhouettes, and magical details – all while incorporating chocolate as a key element in the overall design!

Outfit No. 1: Interstellar Little Red Riding Hood
Crafted with a red chocolate cape with metallic accents, paired with a sleek, futuristic silver chocolate bodysuit. The ensemble is finished with a glowing white chocolate basket and high-tech, LED-embedded chocolate boots.

RUBEN GONZALEZ is a Mexican - American fashion designer known for his work with celebrity and athlete collaborations. His work has been featured in Vogue, Complex and Harper's Bazaar as well as on concert stages around the world.
François DAUBINET
Chocolatier
FRANCOIS DAUBINET is a renowned French pastry chef known for his innovative approach to modern pastry. With a background in prestigious establishments such as Fauchon, Le Plaza Athénée, and Hôtel de Crillon, he blends technical mastery with artistic creativity. His work has earned him recognition for pushing the boundaries of chocolate and pastry, making him a leading figure in contemporary French gastronomy. He has recently collaborated with fashion and jewelry brands such as Saint Laurent and Messika Paris.

Outfit No. 2: Steampunk Snow White
A chocolate dress inspired by Snow White, in a steampunk version. The corset, made of dark chocolate, is adorned with brass gears and delicate engravings reminiscent of clockwork patterns. The abdomen reveals a shimmering white chocolate apple, encased in a chocolate box. The voluminous skirt is crafted from milk chocolate, with brass-colored milk chocolate details imitating gears. Snow White’s iconic colors will be represented through the skirt and corset’s vibrant hues.

Trained extensively in pastry and confectionery from a young age, he honed his skills under renowned master chocolatiers. Currently Chef Chocolatier at Maison Canonica in Geneva, Jérémy oversees the creation of exceptional chocolates, maintaining the institution's legacy of excellence. His expertise has earned him prestigious awards, including First Prize of the Public at the Rallye du Chocolat de Genève 2023. Beyond his creations, Jérémy is dedicated to sharing his craft through workshops and demonstrations, inspiring both his team and the public.
